Clothing is a Human Right!

50501 Iowa Coalition is collecting clothing donation for Willis Dady in Cedar Rapids and Shelter House in Iowa City. Please see the list below for donations we are accepting on their behalf. On January 3rd, we will be providing clothing to anyone who needs it, so if you are in need of winter coats or sweatshirts please stop by! There is no requirement to donate clothing in order to take any clothing you need!

• Iowa LE stops cooperating with ICE 

• End FLOCK camera surveillance  

• Local government stops selling our resources to AI companies 

What can you do?

• Bring signs 

• Gather at a visible corner with your signs to show administration and the public that you DO NOT support what is happening in your community 

• Make sure your voice is being heard! 

Can't join the walk out? You can still participate!

Contact your local county supervisors and city council and convey our demands. Let them know that we will not accept what's happening and it is not, and will never be, ok

Support Starbucks workers and they fight for better labor practices nationwide!

Support the strike in Iowa City and Des Moines!

  • For Iowa City,  Please stop by 12/23 from 7 am to 6 pm to join the workers on strike! 

  • For Des Moines, Please stop by 12/23 from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm to join the workers on strike! This was the known time frame about a week ago, new times may be used this week, so visit during the hours the Starbucks is open! 

  • If you can stop by, make sure to talk with workers, drop off snacks, provide warm drinks, and join them in their fight for better staffing, higher pay, and the resolution for hundreds of unfair labor practice charges! If you cannot stay, do not be afraid to drive by and show your support!
