No War Protest - Iowa City

As you may already know, in the early morning Tuesday, April 7 Trump threatened that “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.” This is just the latest of a series of unhinged threats of war crimes and even genocide he has made against Iran in recent days.

It should not have to be said, but strikes on transportation and energy infrastructure designed to harm or kill Iranian civilians are absolutely unacceptable. These are the exact sorts of reprehensible actions we have rightly condemned other nations for in the past, and they remain reprehensible now. Whether Trump and his GOP enablers follow through on this threat or not, even the suggestion of destroying a “whole civilization” is utterly beyond the pale.
